About Koerts Carpentry

Meet Dominic Koert.

I’ve always been hands-on. Growing up, I wanted to be a Marine, and I made it happen, serving as a tanker. When I got out, I worked under a carpenter for a few years and learned the trade from him. In 2023 I started Koerts Carpentry in New Jersey.

I do kitchens, bathrooms, tile, floors, trim, closets, and custom pieces like vanities and built-ins. I’m involved in every job, and whether I’m doing the work myself or someone on my team is, it gets done to my standard.

I love this work, and I’m picky about it. If something isn’t right, I’ll redo it. I treat your house the way I’d want someone to treat mine.

When I’m not working, I’m at the gym, outside, or with family. I’ve got a wife, a dog named Luna, and a big family, plus a lot of nieces and nephews who always want to play games. We moved to Buxton in 2026 to be closer to family, and since I love being outdoors, Maine’s a perfect fit.
